Cambridge University Press – Access issues

We are currently experiencing problems accessing Cambridge University Press ebooks and ejournals.  When clicking on links from Summon the platform is not  authenticating users so you can’t access our subscribed content.

We have reported this problem to Cambridge and their technical team are investigating.

In the meantime you can access content via the Browzine platform.  When searching Summon for journal articles, click on Browse Now, to go to Browzine and locate the article you are interested in.  From her click ‘Read Full Text’.

Please email e.mailbox@hud.ac.uk with full details if there is anything you cannot access and we’ll endeavor to send you a link through which you can access the content.

 

Library System unavailable (resolved)

Our library system supplier (Ex Libris) is currently experiencing technical problems which are affecting the following library services:

  • library management system (Alma)
  • library account web pages
  • access to some full-text links (journals, books and ebooks) in Summon, reading lists, etc.

The supplier is investigating the problem.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience this is currently causing.

Internet Explorer and Summon (resolved)

We are currently experiencing a problem using Internet Explorer to search Summon.

This appears to be due to an update to the software from the supplier (Ex Libris) and we are currently waiting for the company’s support team to resolve the problem.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience this is causing.

Until this is fully resolved, the workaround is to use an alternative web browser such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Opera.

Update: 17 Sep 2018

This has now been fully resolved by Ex Libris.

Taylor & Francis Online: Service Disruption – Tuesday 4th September

Taylor & Francis Online is experiencing some technical difficulties which may affect access to content on their website.

They apologise for any downtime and are working to restore access as soon as possible.
